Project 2
- Objectives:
- To learn the use of Apple Shake.
- Motivation:
- This multi-part project examines the features and funcionality of
Shake, Apple's compositing software.
- Due dates:
- Project webpage and animations: 09/30/03
- Description:
- Use Shake to create several short animation clips:
- Chroma-keying: primatte/phonebooth &
movies/clouds comp:
- comp the primatte/phonebooth image over
the movies/clouds clip
- Color correction: images/pier & images/sky comp:
- color correct the images/pier to the
images/sky image AND VICE-VERSA
- use Shake's color correct node as well as the
color curve editor node (lookup)
- Rotoscoping: movies/fiona:0174:0301 &
movies/clouds comp:
- rotoscope movies/fiona (frames 0174:0301, just
Fiona's face w/headphones) over the
movies/clouds clip
- note that the shape of Fiona's head changes and moves,
you will therefore have to animate your rotoshape
- Match moving: movies/bomb & movies/water comp
- matchmove on a movies/wave crest, and then comp
the movies/bomb CG element at that point;
the movies/bomb element should appear to
be ``riding the wave''
- Compositing: renderpass comp
- put together the renderpass elements, cutting
out the live footage of the real hallway carpet.
- Chroma-key comp: viper comp
- composite the viper clip, taking care to
eliminate the green-screen spillover
- don't forget to comp in the bubbles outside the
car's passenger window
